An orientation for Japan-Expert Program students enrolled in AY2017 was held on September 29.

The new students lent their ears to a speech given by Prof. Kitamura, Program leader, and cheer-up messages from professors in each course.

A presentation given by their senior students was full of detailed episodes of everyday life and helpful to relieve the new students’ anxiety. They had a look around their classrooms, student’s lounge and teacher’s office after the orientation. They looked like they were looking forward to a new life in Tsukuba.

The new students are going to study Japanese language intensively for 6 months.
